ACTION TEAM

We had an amazing team from Rredly MB.  They worked hard from the second they got off the plane tim debrief time.  Tracy and I had such a wonderful time getting to know them and hear their story.  We pray that Jesus would continue to stoke that fire he started here and that they would bring that passion for Jesus and the things of God back stateside.  We look forward to the day we can see then again.

Lost in Bangkok

So we have Tracy's parents visiting U.S. And we wanted to take them to a mall close to Bangkok to treat them to some Mexican food since they had been troopers eating just Thai food for almost a week.
So the smoky piles in the car and we're off.  Google maps in hand we're ready to get to our destination...it's actually a mall Tracy and I have been to before but we just take a little different route.  So after plenty of wrong turns and finding ourselves going to straight to the heart of Bangkok during rush hour, we figured this might be a long night.
We were literally on the road for almost an hour and a half when we decided we better just head back home.  So we stopped if for some Americsn fast food and heading to put the boys down since it was already past their bedtime.  I, Cecil, felt really humbled depending so much on my iPhone and it let me down.  I feel Hesus wants me to know that my situation or circumstances don't need to determine my joy and peace, but rather it's the living God...Jesus Christ who offers this joy in the midst of frustration and confusion.  We made it home in one piece and Solas actually pulled out another tooth in the back of the car.

Humility in mechanics

So when I have been working on my own vehicles since I was a teenager.  If I didn't know how to repair it I would have a buddy give me a hand, and if that didn't work, or the job was too big I would go to the mechanic.  After Tracy and I were dating Bob, her father, and me would work on cars together.
This evening I was checking the fluids of our vehicle.  Then I noticed that the coolant was low.  See back in the states this would have been a quick fix.  Here I don't even know where to purchase the coolant.  I ended up asking the neighbor, and he was eager to help.  As a matter of fact it became a family affair.  It was humbling having to swallow my pride and ask for help.  But they felt honoured to help and it was a great opportunity fur the father to be the "hero" for the day.

Jesus is watching us every step of the way.  Thanks for your prayers.
