Friends at the Beach

So Tracy and I really haven't gotten some time as just our family for quite a while.  So while the family and I were hanging out at the beach I saw a few young boys.  One of them started playing in the sand with my boys...then a few more came, then many more came, and before you knew it we had about 20 young boys all around me.  So j just went straight up to them and started chatting and hanging out.  That's the picture above.  Then I had a great conversation with the man who was offering horse back rides.  I felt so honored that I had some wonderful interactions with these people here.  I hope this is s reflection of our future ministry.  Tracy and I are praying that our team would move into a city close to the coast and we would be a living reminder that Jesus is the one who brings waves of mercy, truth, and grace.

New Buddy

So I just met a new friend, his name is Johnny, which is very funny because usually Thais don't have nick names that are so western.  But he works by our office and we ended up having a 45 minute conversation, it was fantastic.   It was wonderful hearing about his life, his family, and his work.
I had the opportunity to share our game art for Thailand and the LORD's heart for this nation.  I pray that the LORD Jesus would reveal Himself to Johnny.

Solas' Prayer

So since we lived in Canada Tracy and I have created this habit of praying on our way to class in the morning.  We have picked up this habit here in Thailand.
So on our way to drop the boys off at school Tracy and I say, "alright guys, what do we do everyday on our way to school?"  The boys respond and tell us that we pray.  So todayon our way to school I asked if Solas wanted to start it off.  He prayed, "Holy Spirit, please help my friends, please Holy Spirit, please help them believe.  Jesus please help them to trust in you, please Jesus...Amen."
My heart was filled with joy and love for my boy.  I realized that he's only 5 years old...but he is understanding how important Jesus is to us and how desperately we want our friends to know Him.

Jesus is changing my family!  I'm so grateful.

Immigration

So this week was a stressful week with immigration.  To make a long story short we had to jump through some extra "hoops" in order to be in good standing with the government.   Truth is we, as an organization, and followers of Jesus want to be a witness to the government officials.  It looks like things at going to turn out well for me and my work permit. I pray through future events we may continue to be a witness for our great God-King Jesus!

Grace Carnival not quite the Kern County fair

So Grace international School had a Super Hero carnival that the family and I attended.  It's hard to imagine it's been about a year since we came to one of these carnivals.  I must say I, Cecil, am trying to enjoy it here while I can.  I certainly have been missing the fair from home; the Kern County Fair that is.  I miss walking around the fair with my wife and boys, seeing the animals, eating the delicious fair food.   The night was used as a fundraiser for the school. It was great to walk around and seeing the kids in their favorite super hero costumes.  I pray that the boys grow up and cherish these moments they had with their mother and I.
