Tsunami Survivor
So about 10 years ago I came to Thailand for the first time after the tsunami hit. I was in the South of Thailand rebuilding houses and hearing stories of survivors of the tsunami. Today I met a woman who was in the tsunami and who survived. She has a 6 year old some and is pregnant with her second. A few months ago she was homeless and so she looked on the Internet for places for women and children. She found MB MISSION and The Abundant Life home here in Chonburi and called to see if she and her son could live there. They said yes. Her name is Arm. When she came she said that she never thought she would experience true joy, peace and happiness. She wasn't a Christian before she came, but then she met other followers of Jesus and felt she had a new family. You see her parents were killed in the tsunami. She mentioned that Ajarn Naat reminds her of her mother and has become a spiritual mother to her. Tracy and I felt honored to be in her presence. We told her over dinner that this is the reason we've come, to see lives transformed by Jesus Christ.

English Students gather and worship
This week was so special. We were informed that three students from our English class were interested in worshipping with us on Sunday. So Sunday came and there they were! What a great gift! It just happened to be that I was asked to share my testimony on this Sunday as well. What a gift it is to share how Jesus has changed my life, and is changing my me. May Jesus change our friends lives as He has changed mine.
Food offered to idols
You You So this issue of eating food offered, or sacrificed to idols, is an issue Id never thought I'd face in my life. But here I am, facing it. Tracy and I have had some great discussions of whether or not we should accept food from our friends and neighbors that were sacrificed to idols or not. Especially in this season of celebrating the Chinese New Year. Even though we are facing different issues than we would face back in the states, we are grateful to be able to be a place where there is such a desperate need for Jesus. Please continue to pray that we would be Salt and Light and that the LORD would show us favor and allow us to "break" into the hearts of the Thai people here.
