PHAW

PHAW stands for Pre Home Assignment Workshop.  It is put on by OMF-Overseas Missions Fellowship, I believe that's what it stands for.  It was formerly CIM-China Inland Mission-which was established by Hudson Taylor.  It was an honor to be able to meet missionaries from different organizations, different backgrounds, some working as teachers, counsellors, dorm parents, church planters, and doctors.  However, we all are doing work in SE Asia, working with our Lord advancing the Kingdom of Heaven.
When I first was in the course some people took a little while to get used to me.  But at the end many people were shouting laughing, and during the afternoon shift the teachers actually let me teach the class some dance moves to Toby Mac.
So grateful for the wonderful peopl we met and for the great training we received.

Friend from Bakersfield

So we had the great privilege of having our friend Aimee Bradshaw come stay with us for a week.  It was great to have a friend come and to be able to connect with her as our children love her as well.   She is currently a missionary in India, so much work to be done in that wonderful country.  May the LORD bless Aimee tremendously.

Guys Night Out

So we had a guys night out and I invited two Thai Christian men, another missionary, and a Thai Buddhist friend.  We went to go see the movie concussion and my Thai friend Leck-which basically means little John-came with me because I lived down the street from me.  After the movie on the way home we had some amazing deep spiritual conversations.  It was difficult for me to keep up because there were so many vocabulary words that I was unfamiliar with.  I was wishing I was more fluent in Thai.  I felt blessed, however, that Leck and I had a great conversation on the ride back home.  Thankful for his friendship.
